4 pounds,tart cooking apples..pared,cored and thinly sliced 12 cups in all
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Put the apples in the slow cooker crock. Combine the sugar and the cinnamon, mix with the apples. Blend in water and the lemon juice. Cover and cook on the low heat setting for 5 to 7 hours... OR..on high heat for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. Makes about 6 cups
